Bubba kush is a predominantly indica strain. It is renowned for its heavy tranquilising effects. It is one of the the clearest headed indicas. It gives a very slight head high which is just enough to get you feeling elevated. It’s not a very euphoric experience, but it gets you in a different mental space and improves your mood greatly. The flavour is sweet with a taste of chocolate and coffee which is most noticeable when you exhale. The appearance of the bubba kush plant is of a bulky bud structure with colours ranging from forest green to deep purple.

The genetic origins of bubba kush are not certain but its form would suggest it is of afghani descent. The breeders story is that it was developed in 1996 when an OG kush hybrid pollinated an unknown indica strain from New Orleans. The mother plant was Northern Lights but the genetically ambiguous indica was just called ‘bubba’. Bubba Kush has flourished from its California roots ever since.

Its main effects are relaxation, contentment, it can make you feel sleepy and hungry (good ole munchies). Negatively it produces a dry mouth, dry eyes, can make you feel dizzy, it can also have a slight paranoid effect, and can produce headaches.
